Fundraising
Dolores Huerta Elementary and the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) work hard to provide a great education for our children, but public school budgets are limited and don’t provide enough coverage for many areas of study, like visual arts, music, dance, computers, and robots. We love robots. That’s where the PTA comes in.
Here are some of the enrichment programs and school resources the PTA funds:
- Education Outside – Gardening
- Playworks
- Library Aide
- $200 supply fund for every teacher
- Enrichment & Arts for each grade
- Community Events
- Compadres de Lecturas
In order to provide these essentials, we spend a lot of time raising money.
